In the two weeks our Optus Raise the Bar Community Awards were open, we received an extraordinary number of stories of generosity, kindness, but above all else a true showing of Community.

Heidi Biggin has been awarded $10,000 to support her outstanding work in advancing disability inclusion within our community.

Grampians Health Wellness Centre will also receive a $10,000 grant in recognition of their exceptional retreat program for cancer patients and their careers, offering a range of wellness activities.

Delaney Troon will receive $500 for her remarkable achievement in raising over $210,000 by running 21 half marathons in 21 days to support men’s mental health.

One Humanity Shower Bus has also received $500 to support their dedication to providing a mobile shower service for those in need as well as providing toiletries and clothes.

Of course, a huge shout out to everyone who nominated someone or who was nominated.  Ballarat would not be what it is without you.

Optus – helping keep communities connected for over thirty years.
