Trio arrested after alleged Dimboola service station robbery

Three men have been charged following an alleged burglary in Dimboola last week.

It’s alleged a stolen Ford Falcon pulled up outside an Ellerman Street service station last Monday, with two men smashing the front windows of the store and stealing tobacco products and cash before fleeing.

Police found the car at a licensed Lydiard Street premises in Ballarat a short time later and arrested three men.

Cigarettes and lighters were seized from inside the car, with cash allegedly stolen in the burglary located on the men inside.

Two 19-year-olds from Lucas and Mount Pleasant were charged with burglary and multiple other offences and will appear in court later this month.

A 20-year-old Mount Pleasant man was charged with the theft of a motor vehicle and possessing a drug of dependence and will appear in court next month.
