Three-decade old lap record tumbles at Lake Wendouree

A 30-year-old lap of the lake record was smashed at Lake Wendouree over the weekend.

After spending the last few years at West Virginia University in the United States, Eureka athlete Katherine Dowie returned home to run a time of 20:08 minutes, that beats the record held by Kylie Porter set back in 1994.

Eureka’s Ben Stevens won the annual Men’s event finishing in a time of 17:38 minutes, a personal best which moves him into the Top 20 of all time.
