Skipton on alert as flood waters tipped to hit moderate levels

The Mt Emu Creek to Skipton remains on ‘Watch and Act’ instructions this afternoon.

It’s at 4.27 metres and steady but authorities say it may peak tonight at 4.7 metres which is at moderate flood levels.

Pleasingly the threat at Beaufort has reduced although some homes yesterday were cut off by flood waters.
 
Ballarat since 9am today has recorded just over 1mm of rain on top of 3.2mm yesterday.
