Ballarat’s Matt Short has been named the BBL’s player of the tournament at last night’s Allan Border Medal presentation.
Short had a cracking start to the Big Bash summer with a match MVP in the first round before he and the Adelaide Strikers fell out of finals contention.
27-year-old Short finished the season the league’s highest run scorer on 458, striking at 144.47.

He’ll return to his home state for the remainder of the Sheffield Shield season which resumes on February 9th against Queensland.
