Police are investigating a fatal collision that claimed the life of a woman in Meredith this morning.
Ambulance Victoria was called to the scene on the Midland Highway just after 6:05am following reports of a head on collision.
It is believed three cars collided at the intersection of the Midland Highway and McLeod Street.
A female passenger inside one vehicle died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
Paramedics assessed a number of people at the scene.
A man believed to be in his 30s has been taken to Ballarat Base Hospital with minor injuries in a stable condition.
Another person has been taken to Geelong Hospital with minor injuries in a stable condition.
