Rent continues to climb for Ballarat houses

Ballarat house rents have increased over the June quarter, as the country’s rental market remains in favour of landlords.

According to Domain’s Quarterly Rent Report, houses in the city’s local government area recorded a median weekly asking rent of $395, an annual rental increase of 3.9 per cent and up from $380 in the last quarter.

Across the city, units in Ballarat Central saw the highest annual change at 6.7 per cent, with a median asking rent of $320 during the June quarter.
