The Manager of Reid’s Guest House in Ballarat says it’s been a frustrating time waiting for the facility to open again after February’s fire.
The blaze displaced about 60 homeless people forcing a scramble to find alternate accommodation.

Daniel Hemming from Uniting says the Lydiard Street North building will re-open on Monday.
“We had hoped to open a little bit sooner but it’s taken time to do all the work that needed to be done.”

“There’s still a little bit to do but it’s more important to open the doors and get people off the streets,” Mr Hemming said.
