The PM has given his sympathies to the family of missing Ballarat mother Samantha Murphy.

Anthony Albanese visited the city yesterday for the 20th anniversary of the ex-POW memorial.

Speaking to the media, Mr. Albanese said his thoughts are with Samantha’s family and friends and he’s sure it’s been a difficult time for them.

The search for Samantha was scaled back over the weekend, and despite efforts by the public and emergency services, no sign of Ms. Murphy has been located.

Yesterday, a vigil was held for Samantha at the Buninyong Anglican Church, with dozens attending to pray for the 51-year-old.

Police are calling for any CCTV or dashcam footage in the Ballarat East, Mount Helen and Buninyong areas between 7am and 11am on the 4th of February.
