The City of Ballarat will write to the State Government after they accepted a petition last night voicing concerns with parking problems around Gov Hub.

53 people signed the petition asking for help over the ‘dire’ situation, with some workers reportedly having to leave home up to an hour and a half early just to get a reasonable park.

The problems come after the recent closure of the Creswick Road parking lot – with signatories asking the council to consider having a minibus run every 10 to 15 minutes along certain CBD streets.

Meantime, there’s still no word from Wendouree MP Juliana Addison as to why almost 200 parking spaces in Gov Hub’s basement are unable to be used.

Her office has been contacted for comment.
