Grampians Health has joined a clinical trial of a new testing device that will be able to speed up testing of COVID and flu patients in their emergency department.
The trial aims to address challenges faced by ED’s worldwide, particularly the turnaround time for PCR tests and the availability of rapid tests.
In a statement, Chief Medical Officer Matthew Hadfield, said this has the potential to significantly reduce ED turnaround times and accelerate patient care in the future.
