Meals on Wheels to continue in Ballarat thanks to interstate provider

A new Meals on Wheels supplier’s being set up in Ballarat to make sure the service continues.

The federal government’s announced a pilot program that will start in July, with Queensland Meals on Wheels engaged as the local service provider.

Council understands the organisation will be setting up a division in Ballarat, with the intention to trade as Meals on Wheels Ballarat.

The City of Ballarat says the organisation wants currently volunteering with its Meals on Wheels program to stay involved and help make the transition as smooth as possible.
