A number of local CFA brigades are now home to new firefighting tankers, ahead of the upcoming fire season.
Seven heavy tankers, to be delivered to towns including Daylesford, Miners Rest, Ballan and Creswick, feature cabin-operated water cannons, more cabin space and an electronic hose reel.
An ultra-heavy tanker, with the capacity to carry 10,000 litres of water, will also be housed at the Ballarat City Fire Station.

The tanker is part of a fleet to be rolled out across regional Victoria, through an over $12 million State Government investment.
