Predicted dangerous fire conditions tomorrow have forced the hand of emergency services early, with hundreds of residents in the fire zone and nearby asked to leave their homes by either tonight or tomorrow morning.
Impacted towns include Clunes, Beaufort, Learmonth, Ampitheatre, Elmhurst and Lexton and surrounds.
A total fire ban will come into force from midnight tonight for the central district as well as the Mallee, Wimmera, South West, North Central and Northern Country.
