An inquest is likely to go ahead into the events surrounding the death of a Ballarat teen.
A Victorian Coroner’s Court directions hearing has heard police took the 17-year-old to Ballarat Base Hospital after she called Lifeline to report she felt suicidal in early November.
Police were able to locate the teen at Wendouree Train Station by tracking her phone.
The girl was found unresponsive in a Drummond Street carpark shortly after being released from hospital that night.
The Coroner is interested in looking at interactions between health staff and police in the lead up to the girl leaving the hospital ahead of a return to court in January.
Help is available. Call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
