Hepburn Shire Council has released its draft Affordable Housing Strategy and Action Plan, aiming to address housing need challenges in the region.
The development of the draft strategy comes after months of community surveys, submissions, webinars and forums.
Some of the actions included in the plan include advocating for more social and emergency accommodation, encouraging property owners to provide affordable rentals in the long term and investigating sites suitable for alternative forms of housing, including tiny houses.

A survey is available on the council website for locals to have their say.
