Comm Games probe goes regional, Ballarat in the spotlight Wednesday

The probe into the cancellation of the Regional Victoria Commonwealth Games hits regional areas from tomorrow.

Geelong will lead the charge followed by Ballarat on Wednesday.

In Ballarat, Central Highlands Regional Partnership, Tourism Midwest, Ballarat Regional Athletic Centre and Central Highlands Homelessness Alliance (CHHA) will have their say.

The hearings will not be live broadcast; however, a delayed screening will be shown on the Parliament website at a later date. Transcripts of the hearings will also be published.

Committee chair David Limbrick saying as well as looking at the impact of the cancellation, they’ll be assessing the adequacy of the $2 billion regional infrastructure and housing fund.

Western Victoria Liberal MP Joe McCracken is a member of the committee.
