A new 5th directorate reporting into Ballarat council CEO Evan King has been formally adopted today, after what council calls ‘a rigorous process that involved a whole of organisation consultation and submission process.’
It groups Ballarat’s economic development portfolio alongside visitor economy, the arts, events, experiences and attractions as well as the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
“The structural realignment will deliver greater long-term benefits for our community and ensure the Commonwealth Games provides us with a lasting legacy,” Mr. King said.
“I am confident that the incorporation of this new directorate will deliver greater long-term benefits for all staff and equip us to be better prepared to respond to our community’s needs.”
Recruitment will now commence for a new director.
