As the countdown continues to the Kings coronation tomorrow, one Ballarat man is in the thick of the action in London.

Nick Beale, who was once the Chairman of the Committee for Ballarat and these days campaigns for faster rail to Ballarat, says it’s exciting to be there, especially as a monarchist.

“I’ve been quite amazed at the amount of bunting that’s up in shops.”

“You go to Marks & Spencer, a well-known retailer here, and they’ve got all sorts of displays up, three cheers for the King, selling wine and things like that,” Mr. Beale said.

The ceremony will start at 8pm AEST tomorrow.
