Ballarat gets back to work – according to new ABS numbers

The number of employed Ballarat residents has risen sharply in the last month.

According to new data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 54.2% of the population are in work, compared to 48.7% last month.

Figures reveal more than 3,900 people found work in regional Victoria in May, with the state’s population growing by nearly 40,000 in the December quarter.
