Ambulance response times improve in Ballarat

Ambulance response times have improved in Ballarat, according to new figures from Ambulance Victoria.

Between January 1st and March 31st, 81.3 per cent of ambulances responded within the 15 minutes after receiving the 000 call, up from 76.8 per cent the three months prior.

The average response time in Ballarat was 12 minutes and 43 seconds.

In contrast, response times in the Pyrenees region have worsened over the last quarter, recording an average of 22 minutes and 27 seconds, with only 32.1 per cent responding within 15 minutes.

Response times improved in the Hepburn region, with 42.7 per cent of ambulances responding within the 15 minutes of receiving the 000 call, with an average response time of 18 minutes.
