Film Screening of “Yesterday Island”

Yesterday Island comes to Showbiz Cinemas Ballarat as part of the MIFF Regional Tour.

This award-winning Australian indie comedy follows a failed novelist trapped reliving the same day on a remote subantarctic island.

He attempts to escape by inviting his estranged ex-wife, but instead strands them both there.

Darkly funny, visually inventive and unexpectedly thoughtful, Yesterday Island puts a fresh Australian spin on the time-loop genre, blending existential comedy and moral dilemmas.

Winner of prizes in Austin, Brussels and Cleveland, it stars comedian Ivan Aristeguieta, Florence Noble, David Fane and Francis Greenslade. Local Ballarat writer/director Sam Voutas will be in attendance for Q&A after the film.
