What would you do if you were in an emergency situation and couldn’t receive professional help for 72 hours?
The First 72 Hours prompts you to create an Emergency Plan for your business or household.
This weekend there are two First 72 Hours sessions running: Saturday 11 October’s session is 12pm-4pm, at Ballarat Town Hall, with a focus on People Living with Disability.
National studies show that people living with disability are 2-4 times more likely to be injured or killed during an emergency.
Despite this, over 60% of people living with disability do not have an emergency plan.
Sunday 12 October’s session is 1pm-4pm at the Buninyong CFA Fire Station, 611a Learmonth Street.
Both sessions are free, and registrations (as well as more information on upcoming sessions) can be found by heading to ballarat.vic.gov.au/emergencies and following the links.
