A FREE whole community inclusive event brought to you by Pain Revolution during National Pain Week 2025.

Hosted by Australian Catholic Univeristy, Ballarat Campus in Connors Hall (entrance found directly across the road from 1208 Mair Street).

Proudly supported by Ballarat City Council and local Rotary.

Persistent or chronic pain affects 1 in 4 rural/regional Australians and is our countries leading cause of disability.

Despite this, there continues to be stigma and misunderstanding of this complex condition and how to support those experiencing it. Brave the cold and join us for a night of science, stories, art and hope, as we bring the community together to learn, understand and connect.

Featuring a great line up of speakers including: Professor Lorimer Moseley AO – As a pain neuroscientist at Univeristy South Australia, Loz is at the cutting edge of pain neuroscience research.

Loz has coauthored many books including ‘Explain Pain’ which has sold over 60,000 copies world wide and translated into 5 languages.

Loz is also the founder of Pain Revolution a not for profit organisation focused on improving pain awareness and education in regional and rural Australia.

Loz was made an Officer of the Order of Australia – our second highest honour – for distinguished service to humanity at large in the field of pain science and management.

In addition, Loz was recently featured on ABC podcast ‘Conversations’ with Richard Fidler, see https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/the-mind-f-k-of-pain-retraining-your-system-to/id94688506?i=1000713335317

Mick is the world’s fastest marathoner on crutches with two legs, finshing in five hours, 50 minutes and eight seconds.

Mick is quoted as saying “Giving up is not the answer”.
