Dot and the Kangaroo is a gorgeous new Australian musical being brought to life by BCMA’s junior musical theatre classes.

It tells the delightful story of young Dot, who grows bored with farm life in her new Australian home and sets out to explore the bush.

After becoming lost, she is rescued by the warm and motherly Mrs Kangaroo, and along the way meets a host of wonderful bush characters — including an arrogant platypus, a cheeky lorikeet, and a trio of blue-obsessed bowerbirds.

With upbeat, catchy music and a stage bursting with colour, this one-hour production is packed with fun, laughter, and heart — the perfect entertainment for young children and families alike.
