Dinosaurs to roar into Werribee Park Mansion DinoFest returns for even bigger spring school holidays experience: 13 Sep -12 Oct 2025

It was a huge hit when it stomped onto the grounds of Werribee Park Mansion in 2023 selling-out every show to rave reviews, but this spring school holidays, DinoFest will up the ante with even more life-size, walking and interactive dinosaurs that are sure to excite.

From Geelong and Ballarat to West Melbourne and across the City of Wyndham, families at DinoFest Werribee Park Mansion will discover interactive dino adventures and brand-new, life-like animatronics guaranteed to amaze kids and adults alike.

DinoFest Werribee Park Mansion will open for a special preview during the weekend of 13-14 September; with the show to then continue throughout (most days of) the spring school holidays from 20 September – 5 October, and then for a final weekend on 11-12 October 2025.

The ultimate prehistoric experience, DinoFest Werribee Park Mansion will feature more than 30 awesome dinosaur species including a walking Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, Pachycephalosaurs, Ankylosaur and lots of cute baby dinosaurs to-boot.

With an amazing new Dino Trail featuring a towering Brachiosaurus and a T.Rex, DinoFest Werribee Park Mansion is a highly unique and interactive, outdoor experience-based event that is family friendly and especially designed for children aged nine and younger.

Specialising in Tyrannosaurs, DinoFest tells the story of how Tyrannosaurs grew from small dog-sized dinosaurs to become the world’s most fearsome predators over the course of 100 million years.

While T. Rex is understandably ‘king of show’, DinoFest will also showcase a range of other popular dinosaurs that attendees can touch, pat, and interact with in a way that is deliberately designed to engage young children as a magical and life-long memorable experience.

In addition to the thrill of a 45-minute Dinosaur Encounter and truly remarkable Dino Trail, the ultimate dinosaur experience also has a range of educational and highly engaging kids’ activities like a Dino Dig, themed arts and crafts, and ‘feel a fossil’ with real dinosaur bones.

DinoFest Founder, Laurence Taylor, says Werribee Park is an ideal setting for the biggest and best DinoFest to-date given the park’s expansive outdoor space with wide-open lawns, spectacular natural beauty and its atmosphere of adventure.

“Werribee Park is not only a great stomping ground for our dinos, but also a truly stunning setting – with centuries-old trees, shaded trails beneath towering firs perfect for the dino walk, the historic Werribee Mansion as a backdrop, and plenty of space for picnics and play before and after the show.

“With cafés also available on-site plus FREE parking for families, it really is the perfect place to step away from devices and be transported into the spring sunshine of the Mesozoic era,” says Laurence Taylor.

In celebration of DinoFest Werribee Park Mansion, The Refectory Parlour will be serving a range of dinosaur themed treats including dino lunch boxes, dino cupcakes, dino ice-cream cones topped with popping lava, and more.

Attendees can contact the café to pre-order food or purchase on the day between 11am-4pm.

“We were blown away by the enthusiasm of locals when we first showed at Werribee Park Mansion and now, the momentum has reached new levels of anticipation for this even bigger and better showing.

“A special interest in dinosaurs is recognised as a great way to get young children engaged in science. DinoFest is designed to be educational and bust some of the ‘myths’ created by Hollywood.

We aim to inspire a true sense of awe in these beautiful, majestic animals who ruled the earth for tens of millions of years.

“We’ve genuinely considered family convenience, affordability and fun yet factuality as key elements of DinoFest,” adds Mr Taylor, who is himself a parent.

Families are strongly encouraged to pre-book online via Eventbrite as DinoFest Werribee Park Mansion will sell out faster than a Velociraptor can run!

Family and Group Admission tickets are available, with special discount fees for seniors and people with physical disability.

A single ticket costs AUD $28.50 per adult and $26 per child, with FREE entry for children younger than two years.
