Celebrate the New Year in true Daylesford style! Since 1927, the Daylesford NYE Parade & Gala has brought the community together for an evening filled with creativity, colour, and family fun.

The Gala kicks off at 6pm in Vincent Street, featuring live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, face painting, a balloon artist, old-fashioned games like the coconut shy, crafting tables and (fingers crossed!) a jumping castle.

From 8pm, the much-loved Parade comes down Vincent Street, showcasing spectacular Lion Dancers, Taiko Drummers, local CFA and SES brigades, dancers, community groups, vintage cars and creative, colourful floats – both walking and vehicle entries.

There are five prizes up for grabs for the best entries, including dinners for two at The Farmers Arms (valued at $200 each), and the winning float will receive $500 cash plus dinner for two at The Farmers Arms valued at $200.

It’s a joyful way to farewell the year and welcome the next — surrounded by community spirit, creativity, and celebration.
