Central Highlands Water

Central Highlands Water provides drinking water, sewerage, trade waste and recycled water services through 15 water supply systems and 13 sewerage systems. 

We deliver water to a population of more than 188,000 through over 2,600 kilometres of water mains and collect and treat sewerage through over 1,600 kilometres of sewer mains.

Operating in over 60 towns in the Central Highlands region, we manage over $1.8 billion of plant, property and infrastructure that provides a fully integrated ‘catchment-to-tap-to catchment’ service delivery approach.

We understand that some customers may find it difficult to pay their water bill due to financial stress or family violence. There are a number of payment assistance methods that customers can access in an informative and respectful environment. These include:

• individual case assessments
• flexible payment plans
• payment extensions
• guidance on how to access government assistance programs such as the Utility Relief Grant Scheme
• help setting up Centrepay
• assistance with bills that are higher than normal due to an undetected leak
• assistance accessing confidential professional financial counselling
• support for customers experiencing family violence.
