Regent Cinema doors to stay open, despite liquor licensing woes

Despite liquor licensing woes hampering its ability to trade profitably, the boss of Ballarat’s Regent Cinema says it won’t close again.

The famous movie house re-opened in October last year, after slipping into administration.

CEO of Palace Cinemas, Ben Zeccola, says they love the cinema.

‘We will not be closing the doors at the Regent,” he said.

“We really love the community, and they’ve embraced us so warmly, so we will just budget to support it through to December.”
