A fancy pants Harvard academic has released the maximum number of fries we should ingest in a day to avoid health issues and chip lovers aren’t amused.
Professor Eric Rimm said if we want to avoid long-term health problems we should consume no more than SIX chips per day.
Just SIX! In case you’re wondering, this is what six chips looks like:

Yep. Twitter user “joeyangel” wasn’t impressed and neither were many other chip enthusiasts.
6 down 75 to go. Thanks Harvard. I rarely eat fries (or fast food), but I don't think 6 is going to cut it today. pic.twitter.com/WhtgxZ0i4f— Michael (@wagsbrew) December 5, 2018

Not after the fries situation, Harvard. pic.twitter.com/8B01xljKkV— Jazmyn 🔜 HolMat (@Jazmyn_Cray) December 5, 2018
A Harvard professor says I should only eat six French fries per serving. When I have PMS I can easily eat six Harvard professors in one sitting though.— Betty (@BoomBoomBetty) December 5, 2018
At the end of the day, Professor Eric Rimm just has our best interests at heart. But still... good luck stopping at just six mouth-watering crunchy golden salt-sprinkled hot chips.
