February may be the shortest month with a humble 28 days (29 when it’s feeling self-indulgent), but this year it’s the month of festivals and fun with a stack of major events scheduled for Ballarat.

The Ballarat Road Nationals will see world class cycling on our door step, including the Criterium event on Sturt Street and the iconic Mount Buninyong Hill Climb.

This iconic celebration of 1950s cars, fashion and rock is back, making use of the refurbished Civic Hall and boasting a jam packed line-up of live music from local and visiting artists.

Always a highlight of the Ballarat rowing calendar, Head of the Lake returns to Lake Wendouree on Friday the 19th with schools competing to be crowned the ultimate champions.

More than 150 craft beers and cider to sample, regional wines, food trucks and live music – Ballarat Beer Fest has all the right ingredients for a splendid day out at Ballarat’s North Gardens

The Ballarat Cycle Classic raises money for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute. This year’s calendar features more ride options than ever before with your entry fees directly supporting FECRI.

Ending the month on a high, Summersalt will see a mammoth line-up take the stage at Ballarat’s North Gardens including The Cat Empire, The Teskey Brothers and John Butler just to name a few.
