Nothing starts a family squabble quite like differing interpretations of board game rules. In fact, UNO has been banned in our house because some (incorrect) people think there’s no penalty for failing to shout UNO on their last card... There is a penalty – it’s the addition of 7 crisp new cards to your hand and I don’t want to hear another word about it!
Anyway, the people behind Scrabble and Pictionary have just dropped a new rule. From today, players need to place their phones in a box at the beginning of play. This is to discourage cheating and curve screen time while boosting the quality of time we spend together.
