Rotating directors, broken limbs... it's been a tortured process making Bond 25, but this first footage will reassure you that things are looking good.
It's understandable if you're worried how Bond 25 is coming together. The film's already been pushed back a year after losing director Danny Boyle over 'creative differences'. Daniel Craig's broken leg added more delays to the production. And then there were those bizarre (and refuted) rumours that new director Cary Joji Fukunaga was more interested in his PlayStation than his directing duties.
And that's just the half of it. Earlier this month, a controlled explosion injured a crew member, and only on Monday a man was arrested for allegedly setting up cameras in an on-set restroom.
But in spite of all the setbacks, the professionals on set are getting the job done.
First there's that epic photo of Daniel Craig working out for the role, leg cast and all.
Secondly, Fukunaga has set the record straight on his dedication in directing the film. And let's not forget, this is the bloke behind the camera on True Detective (season 1) and Maniac - he knows his way around a camera.

Our Production Designer/Artful master of living for the day, Mark Tildesley— commented to me once that being a director must feel like dying of a thousand cuts, because of the constant stream of questions one must field. There’s not a minute on this job that isn’t scheduled, and even during a shoot day, in the hours before call, between takes and setups, and after we wrap there’s always a line of dedicated and hard working department heads hungry to prep our next sequences, no one sleeps on this kind of job. So sure it’s hard, but it’s still the best job in the world and I’d never disrespect the hardest working cast and crew. We’re all in this together. 🍀 As for my PS4 relationship, if my RDR2 progress is any indication, it’s been stunted at 63% for months and if anyone spoils the end for me before I wrap on B25 I’m going to be pissed.
And then there's this. On Tuesday, the official Bond YouTube account gave us a stunning minute-long look behind the scenes as filming wraps up in Jamaica. It's really our first chance to see Daniel Craig (James Bond), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter), and Lashana Lynch (Nomi) in action, and to catch a glimpse of Fukunaga and his team behind the camera.
Fingers crossed this one works out okay.
