If the thought of training for a new career (and not incurring a mountain of debt) sounds good to you, Fed Uni here in Ballarat have named their most popular free TAFE courses.
The future of Ballarat is looking healthy! The new data shows that nursing is the most sought after course in town, followed closely by the Certificate III in Agriculture and Diploma of Community Services.
According to Minister for Training and Skills Gayle Tierney (who also serves Western Victoria on the Victorian Legislative Council), the other highly sort after courses include the Certificate III in horticulture, the Diploma of Community Services and prerequesites for electrical apprenticeships.
Tierney's also noted a 135% increase in enrollments to free TAFE courses, and when nursing students here in Ballarat can save up to $12 000 per person, it's hardly suprising.
