The Latest from the Home Run

Nostalgia alert: Netflix's Carmen Sandiego cartoon has a trailer!

2019? Who needs it! Not when we have quality '90s nostalgia like this.

In great news for millenials who never really grew up, Netflix has released the first trailer for 'Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego' - the animated TV adaptation of the educational video game classic. And if you can get past the terrible Aussie accent in the opening seconds, it actually looks pretty good!

To quote Netflix's blurb for the series: “Everybody asks ‘WHERE is Carmen Sandiego?’, but nobody asks ‘WHO is Carmen Sandiego?’ The iconic woman in red returns for new international capers and a peek into her past.” And it turns out she's not the globe-trotting supervillain we all thought she was when we were 10.

The show's set to drop on Netflix, January 19th. And there's plenty more where this came from - Netflix has already ordered a live action movie starring Gina Rodriguez (from 'Jane the Virgin') who voices Carmen in the animation.

This will be the forth series based on Carmen, after two US game shows and another animated series. If you've never seen it, there are full eps on YouTube.

No all we need is a TV series for 'The Logical Journey of the Zoombinis'...
