Apparently this hashtag started November last year, and it seems to be going strong even now, it's called #AndThenIWasFired and there are many amusing stories.
Just November last year, @HashtagRoundup on Twitter, asked its followers to tell the world what they did wrong at work that got them sacked and #AndThenIWasFired was born.
#AndThenIWasFired has had many people fire up on Twitter, as they tell the silly stories as to why they were fired like:
I was the computer operator for a big company in the 1980's. For a couple months the ugliest plaid fleece coat imaginable was hanging on the coat rack. Finally, I was so fed up with it I took it home and threw it in our garbage. Found it was my bosses. #andtheniwasfired #yep 😂😂— CatManDude😷🐈 (@johnszim) November 11, 2019
I dared use the same excuse a manager used every time she was late or didn’t show up. #AndThenIWasFired— AmberLee (@AmberLeeFunny) September 14, 2020
Wtf? I was fired for having “aggressively red hair” and “having a sour face” when the boss was around. #AndThenIWasFired— Uniwolf 🦄🐺🥀 (@Cancertarius) September 14, 2020

One of the guys on my team was throwing up at his desk. The CEO pulled me into his office and told me "Do not send him home. I'm not paying for another sick day". I walked out of his office and sent my guy home. #AndThenIWasFired— Plain Ol' Johnny Graz says #NeverBumpNeverTriden (@jvgraz) November 11, 2019
