Four cars set alight in Ballarat in eight hours

It's been a busy eight hours for firefighters around Ballarat after four cars were set alight overnight.

Fire crews were called to the first of the car fires on Codes Forrest Road in Glen Park around 11pm.

The stolen white sedan was well alight when crews arrived, getting the blaze under control around 20 minutes later.

Crews were then called to a car on fire at Wendouree West at 1:30am, with crews extinguishing the fire shortly after arriving.

The next fire wasn't called in until just after 7:30am to Brittain Road at Mount Clear, near a pine plantation, while the fourth vehicle was set alight around 8:15am at Grandlee Drive in Wendouree.

Police are investigating the series of suspicious car fires.
