Police in Ballarat West have charged a driver after they were found behind the wheel of an unroadworthy vehicle.
Officers intercepted the vehicle on Drummond Street this week and immediately issued a defect notice for the vehicle.
The car also had tyres with minimal tread left, as well as a badly damaged seatbelt.
The driver of the vehicle has been charged with driving an unroadworthy and unregistered vehicle, using false numberplaces, as well as not wearing a seatbelt.
They will appear in court at a later date.
