Ballarat detectives have arrested two teenagers after it's alleged a stolen car was used to try and ram a police vehicle.
Police first spotted the Nissan Pulsar in in Humffray Street at 11am Wednesday (July 10).
An officer on patrol later saw it on Queen Street, where it's alleged the car veered onto the wrong side of the road and tried to ram the car.
A Senior Sergeant was able to take evasive action to avoid a collision before the car fled the scene.
A boy and girl - both aged 17 - were arrested by the Divisional Response Unit this morning in Sebastopol.
The youth is facing 30-charges including:
Aggravated intentional exposure of emergency service worker to risk by driving;
Attempted armed robbery;
Assault with a weapon ;
Possessing a weapon;
Aggravated burglary ;
Theft of and from a care:
The 17-year-old girl has also been charged. She is accused of offences including car theft.
Both are due to front the Childrens Court.
