A jury has found a Daylesford man charged with assault not guilty on all eight charges levelled against him.
Shayne Petkovic was charged with aggravated burglary, making threats to kill, and recklessly and intentionally causing injury to a man in January 2017.
Petkovic pleaded not guilty to all charges which were presented after he visited the victim's home in Musk to confront him over contacting a woman the pair knew. It was alleged he punched the victim, which Petkovic's defence barrister said was an act of self defence after he was pushed by the male victim.
The County Court jury deliberated for close to two and a half hours before returning their decision, finding Petkovic not guilty after the four day trial last week.
