Possible jail time for man who drove while disqualified seven times

A man has been threatened with a possible jail sentence after driving while disqualified at least seven times.

Daniel Conduit was intercepted twice by police last year, after having 5 driving while disqualified convictions against his name already, and was spotted twice driving without a licence and in a car without an interlock device fitted.

In asking for a sentencing indication at the Ballarat Magistrates' Court yesterday, the magistrate said he would suggest prison time, given the numerous prior offences.

The 34 year old has withdrawn his guilty plea, and will return to court on August 22.
