A Ballarat road was closed for around 30 minutes yesterday afternoon (July 11) after a power pole caught fire.
The blaze broke out on Ballarat-Carngham Road in Lucas near Prospect Drive at 2.17pm, with the CFA sending a hazmat truck and pumper to the scene.
Police also attended to close the road in both directions, with the fire brought under control at 2.30pm.
The road was reopened at 2.50pm.
Powercor says a fuse is believed to have caused the fire, and no customers were affected.
