A number of 19th-century steamtrains will be dusted off for the Ballarat Heritage Festival.

A series of trains will transport tourists to and from Melbourne on May 27, 28 and 29.

Steamtrain board member Eddie White says they’ll run in addition to V-Line services.

"Because they run towards Geelong they won't effect normal V-Line services," he said.
