More than 400-thousand will be pumped into Creswick to better protect the town from future storms.

It comes after storms ravaged parts of Hepburn Shire twice in the last 12 months.

Mayor Tim Drylie says feasibility studies will be carried out to better flood-proof the town.

"It will be drainage work and that's 414-thousand for drainage and curbing projects across the shire," he said.
