Thousands expected in Ballarat for delayed national comp

This month's NBL 3x3 Hustle National Championships are set to attract around 2000 people to Ballarat.

The basketball competition will be staged on the new outdoor courts at Selkirk Stadium (formerly BSEC) on January 22nd and 23rd.
Head of the NBL Hustle Jaele Patrick says the event was due to be staged in October last year.
"We are so excited with the new courts going in, it's positioning Ballarat as the new home of 3x3."
"Its great to finally be able to bring this national event to Ballarat and to the community," Ms Patrick said.
City of Ballarat Deputy Mayor Cr Amy Johnson said council is proud to be attracting such national competitions.

“We have invested strongly in event and visitation strategies to enable such events,” Cr Johnson said.

“We know Ballarat is capable of hosting major national sporting events, and now the Ballarat Sports and Events Centre is becoming one of Australia’s premier basketball venues.”
