Old savings bank to go under the hammer

One of Sturt Street's most recognisable buildings will go up for auction on Friday.

The former state savings bank on the corner of Camp Street was built in 1870 and is expected to yield around two-million dollars.

Andrew Lewis of Colliers International says it has drawn interest from medical and retail investors.

"It's a great space, it's got beautiful natural light and is a really pleasant space," he said.
