UFS has confirmed it will operate a dedicated 7 day a week Coronavirus vaccine clinic in Ballarat's hospital precinct.

Where it will be exactly and when it will open remains unclear, although the Ballarat based medical services provider says it expects to be able to take bookings from mid next week.

Yesterday, Ballarat Community Health confirmed that it is only expecting to be able to administer the jab from mid April.

Local GP clinics say they were run off their feet with inquiries yesterday with little information able to be given out.

The Federal Government has released a list of 1000 GP clinics around the country that will be able to deliver the vaccine to patients, including 10 in the wider Ballarat region.

UFS will continue to operate the COVID-19 testing clinic from its current location at 15 Errard Street North, Ballarat, which is separate to the dedicated vaccination clinic.
