Incoming City of Ballarat Chief Executive Officer Evan King has announced an action plan to improve the culture within the organisation.
The plan will address concerns raised in the Halliday report, which uncovered incidents of bullying and sexual harassment.
Speaking at his first council meeting on Wednesday night, Mr King says he aims to create a culture based on integrity and respect.
"There's a fairly significant piece of work that I'm working on at the moment we're entitling 'The Way Forward'."
"There will be a detailed action plan developed that addresses a lot of the concerns that were raised in the Hallliday report, and obviously utmost to that is the respect and health and safety of our staff," Mr King said.
Mr King replaces Justine Linley in the CEO role who was sacked by councillors in May last year following a damning Ombudsman's report.
