Australian up-and-comer Matthew Kenyon has joined the Ballarat Miners for the upcoming NBL1 South Season.
He joins the club following a stint in Cairns, where he represented the Autsralian Boomers in an Asian Cup qualifyer.
An AIS product, the 23-year-old already boats professional experience.
He played two seasons with the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL before heading to America to play for the South
Bay Lakers in the NBA G-League.
Kenyon hales from Avoca Bay and is looking forward to stepping onto the court at the Ballarat Sports
Events Centre this season.
“I’m super excited about coming to Ballarat for the NBL1 South Season. Looking forward to meeting
the guys and getting to know everyone when I get there. It should be an exciting year.” Kenyon said.
Head Coach Brendan Joyce was looking forward to the versatility that Kenyon will bring the team.
“Matt will bring his valuable experience and provide depth and versatile guard play to the team and
be able to play some multiple positions," he said.
