A Ballarat woman is one of three people being questioned over an aggravated carjacking in Aintree this morning. 

Police have been told the driver picked up the 28-year-old woman and two men in the Ballarat area and agreed to drive them to Sydenham before a dispute over the fare ensued.

It is alleged the group punched the driver in the head and threatened him with a pole.

The driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
